Active Collection of Information
The type of Personal Information collected by Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. (Tax Depot) regarding individuals and businesses generally includes the following: names, addresses (including email addresses), telephone and facsimile numbers, date of birth, occupation, details about an individual’s family (including spouse and children’s names, birthdays and genders) and financial details and concerns. Through our collection of this information, information about gender, education, medical history, social preferences and membership in professional, political and/or social associations/interests may come to be known by us and this is discussed in additional detail in the following paragraph.

The information held by Tax Depot may come from a number of sources including website submissions, interviews and phone calls with you, publicly available sources, letters and/or e-mails to/from you, tax returns, organizers, tax return source documents, financial history questionnaires and receipts, books of record and, for example, cancelled checks, receipts and bank statements. We collect personal information about you, but only when that information is provided by you, obtained by us with your authorization or gathered through direct interaction with you. Unless permitted by law, no Personal Information is collected about an individual without first obtaining the consent of that individual to the collection, use and dissemination of that information.

Passive Collection of Information
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Tax Depot. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web Site addresses. This information is used by Tax Depot for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. site.

Concerning Children
Tax Depot does not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18, especially children under 13, and does not use such information if it discovers that it is has been provided by a minor.

Use of Information

Tax Depot will use the Personal Information it gathers for our own direct marketing purposes only where it is impractical for Tax Depot to seek the individual’s consent before that particular use. Tax Depot will never charge an individual for giving consideration to a request not to receive direct marketing communications if the individual makes a request not to receive direct marketing communications.

Tax Depot's use of Personal Information is limited to the aforementioned purposes or a purpose consistent with those purposes. Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. does not sell, trade, barter or exchange for consideration any Personal Information.

Disclosure of Information
As a general rule, Tax Depot will never use or disclose Personal Information about our clients or former clients other than for the aforementioned purposes of collection, unless the individual has consented to that use or disclosure. However, to the extent permitted by law and any applicable state Codes of Professional Conduct, certain nonpublic information about you may be disclosed in the following specific situations: 

 To comply with a validly issued and enforceable subpoena, warrant or summons.
 In the course of a review of our firm's practices under the authorization of a state or national licensing board, or as necessary to properly respond to
    an inquiry or complaint from such a licensing board or organization.
 As a part of any actual or threatened legal proceedings or alternative dispute resolution proceedings either initiated by or against us, provided we
    disclose only the information necessary to file, pursue, or defend against the lawsuit or action but to take reasonable precautions to ensure that the
    information disclosed does not become a matter of public record.
 To provide information to affiliates of the firm and nonaffiliated third parties who perform services or functions for us in conjunction with our
    services to you, but only if we have a contractual agreement with the other party, which prohibits them from disclosing or using the information for
    other than the purposes, for which it was disclosed.
 In conjunction with the normal due diligence process of any merger, provided that we take appropriate precautions (for example, through a written
    confidentiality agreement) so the prospective merger partner does not disclose information obtained in the course of the process.
 To assist law enforcement or public health officials avert a serious threat to the health or safety of you or any other person.
 Information may be disclosed to lawfully established executors or administrators to enable them to carry out their lawful duties. 

Accuracy and Retention of Information 
Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. endeavors to ensure that any Personal Information provided and in its possession is as accurate, current and complete as necessary for the purposes for which it uses that information. Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. retains Personal Information as long as the firm believes it is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.

The principal place in which the Tax Depot retains Personal Information is in the city of Marietta, Georgia.

If you believe the information about you is not correct, you may request an update of that information by sending a request to the Tax Depot firm. Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. will not respond to repetitious or vexatious requests for access to Personal Information. To determine whether a request is repetitious or vexatious, it will consider such factors as the nature of the information, the frequency with which it is updated, and its purpose.
To guard against fraudulent requests for access to Personal Information, Tax Depot will require sufficient information to allow it to confirm the identity of the person making the request before granting access or making corrections.

When information will be disclosed, Tax Depot will endeavor to provide the information in question within a reasonable time and no later than 60 days following the request. When information will not or cannot be disclosed, the individual making the request will be provided with the reasons for non-disclosure.

In communicating with you, Tax Depot reserves the right to use a method of communication that is less secure than some of its less convenient alternatives. For example, we now send e-mail as unencrypted plain text because we believe that many of our members, service providers and other third parties cannot readily process encrypted e-mail. Thus, also this is done for their convenience, the security concern exists that, if misrouted or intercepted, unencrypted plain text could be read more easily than encrypted e-mail.

You have received a unique Client ID and created a password in order to use the secure portions of the Tax Depot website. You are requested not to divulge your Client ID or password to anyone other than authorized Tax Depot Financial Services, LLC. personnel and only to permit them to serve you.
